The Swiss franc surged to a fresh all-time peak against the dollar on Tuesday, with the greenback broadly under pressure on expectations the US central bank will keep policy loose at its upcoming meeting. The dollar hit a record low versus the Swiss franc at 0749 GMT on EBS trading platform on Tuesday, with traders citing selling by momentum funds and Far East accounts. The dollar fell 0.4 percent to touch a record low of 0.8770 francs while the euro also dropped to a session low around 1.2810 francs.
