Police and all other law enforcement agencies were put on high alert after National Crisis Management Cell (NCMC) issued a terror alert regarding an expected attack on French Embassy. An extremist group is planning to attack on French Embassy in Islamabad, the NCMC stated in a communication issued here on Tuesday.
The communication was sent to Islamabad Police, chief Commissioner Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration and all law enforcement agencies with instructions to remain vigilant and make necessary security arrangements to avert any subversive activity in the Federal Capital, well informed sources in Islamabad Police revealed to Business Recorder. Islamabad Police and other law enforcement agencies were instructed to ensure a foolproof security arrangement for French Embassy and all its employees, they said. After receiving communication from NCMC, Islamabad Police has enhanced the security in and around diplomatic enclave and all vehicles heading towards the Red Zone are being thoroughly checked.
