Prominent personalities from civil society, journalism and political parties on Saturday participated in the sit-in organised by Tehreek-e-Insaaf against drone attacks at Baag-e-Naran Peshawar.
Those who turned to the sit-in venue included MNA from North Waziristan Kamran Khan, Zafar Baig Betani MNA from Fata, Tehreeke-e-Isteqlal Chief Rahmat Wardag, Dr Fauzia, Barrister Bacha, Shereen Mazaree, Arbab Khizer Hayat, Jamaat-i-Islami Provincial Chief Professor Ibrahim Khan, Shabir Ahmad Khan, Abdul Jalil Jan, Maulana Ismail Darvish of defunct Sepahe Sahaba, former Ambassador Ayaz Amir, ex-bureaucrat Rodid Khan, PPP (S) MPA Mohammad Ali and other noted people participated in Dharana and expressed their anger against continues drone attacks.
Former ISI chief General Hameed Gul, Qazi Hussain Ahmad and Maulana Samiul Haq are expected to join Imran Khan on Sunday. The management of PTI, particularly at the stage was not good and inexperience people had occupied the stage due to which people were unaware about the personalities who were coming on the dice one by one to address the participants. Female members of PTI also participated in the sit-in, which closed the main road leading towards Torkham. The closer of the road caused huge queues of heavy vehicles loaded with different items.
