Seoul shares slipped on Tuesday weighed by substantial falls in shipbuilders like Hyundai Heavy Industries after news of POSCO's steel price hikes, but LG Display's rally capped losses. The Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) ended down 0.7 percent at 2,122.68 points.
Foreign investors were sellers of a net 533.2 billion won worth of stocks, offloading shares for a sixth straight session. Shares in LG Display jumped 6.9 percent, the biggest daily percentage gain in nearly 27 months, after the company issued a positive second quarter outlook.
