Many changes were seen on the wholesale grain and seed markets on Saturday as buyers showed interest in fresh deals, dealers said. On the cereal side gur low type was higher by Rs 100 to Rs 5500 and best type was unchanged at Rs 6000.
Wheat old crop Bardan lower by Rs 50 to Rs 2750, wheat new old crop Bardan followed the same pattern, losing same amount to Rs 2765, wheat old Burdan shed the same amount to Rs 2650 and wheat old Burdan new crop also came under pressure, shedding same amount to Rs 2665, other items maintained the overnight levels in process of trading, they said.
Only variation was seen on grams sector, where grams 50x50 dropped by Rs 200 to Rs 5100-5300 due to steady arrivals, they said. On the seed side, rapeseeds Nawabshah low type gained Rs 50 to Rs 2000 and best type was up by Rs 25 to Rs 2025, rapeseeds Mirpurlane low type maintained its overnight level at Rs 2025 while the best type rose by Rs 15 to Rs 2050, rapeseeds cakes shed Rs 10 to Rs 850-860 and cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh low type shed Rs 25 to Rs 1325 while the good type posted fresh gain of equal amount to Rs 1400, they said. Prices were unmoved on the rice sector, they said.
