While condemning the US drone attacks that killed about 45 tribal elders in North Waziristan agency, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Friday submitted adjournment motions in the National Assembly to discuss the matter in the House. The major opposition party, PML-N also filed another separate adjournment motion against the cut in oil supply to the Pakistan Railways, which caused closure of train service in various parts of the country.
The two separate adjournment motions have been filed by PML-N lawmakers Nisar Tanveer, Rana Mahmoodul Hassan, Shireen Arshad Khan, Malik Shakir Bashir Awan, Nighat Parveen Mir and Majeed Khan.
They condemned the drone attack in North Waziristan, saying that the entire nation was grieved over the killing of innocent tribal people. The motion stated that every Pakistani is grieved over the attack on the Jirga and they condemned the US aggression. The second motion stated that cut in oil supply to the Pakistan Railways has led to the closure of train service in various parts of the country. The train service from Quetta has been suspended due to which thousands of travellers are facing difficulties. The lawmakers urged in their motions that the routine business of the National Assembly should be suspended to discuss these two serious issues in its next session.
