'Pakistan wants more access to EU markets'

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar said on Thursday that Pakistan wanted to work together with the European Union (EU) to get more market access. She was talking to EU Ambassador and Head of EU Delegation to Pakistan Lars-Gunnar Wigemark at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to Foreign Office Spokesperson Tehmina Janjua, the minister expressed appreciation for the EU Council's decision to grant enhanced market access to Pakistan in the wake of 2010 floods. The minister underlined that Pakistan looked forward to working together with the EU to get the GSP plus status. The minister stressed the need for Pakistan and the EU to continue to work jointly on all issues to forge a mutually beneficial relationship.
