Indus Motor Company has increased the price of Cuore cars up to Rs 45,000 with immediate effect. Chairman All Pakistan Motor Dealers Association, H. M Shahzad told Business Recorder on Tuesday that the price of Cuore automatic car had been increased by Rs 45,000 whereas price of Cuore manual car by Rs 30,000.
He further said that prices of Corolla cars were also being increased by Rs 50,000 from April 1, 2011. He requested the Ministry of Industries and Production to immediately convene a meeting of local assemblers and seek the reasons of present increase in prices.
However, Indus Motor is of the view that the recent increase in prices of cars is due to rupee-yen parity.
