Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Naveed Chaudhry on Sunday appreciated the unconditional support of PML (Q) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain to PPP government and hoped that such goodwill gestures will help stabilise democracy as well as the government.
Talking to a private news channel, he said a common wisdom is needed to resolve problems of our country and for the same reason, the PPP was promoting the politics of reconciliation. He added the PPP was in position to form government in Punjab after elections but avoided it because of its firm approach of respecting mandate of every party.
While commenting on the meeting of PML-Q delegation with President, he said all the political forces present in the parliament want stability of democracy in our country and for the same reasons Chaudhry Shujaat along with his party leaders met President Zardari.
He added President Zardari through politics of reconciliation wants to solve all problems being faced by the country. Naveed Chaudhry said the PML-N has talked about making army and judiciary stakeholders and the meeting of PML-Q delegation with President Zardari indicates that democratic forces are not thinking so and it is job of politicians to bring the country out of crisis. He said PML-N by promoting 'Lotacracy' in Punjab is in fact destabilising the institution of the assembly.
