The Karachi Port handled 85,841 tonnes of cargo including 66,272 tonnes of import cargo, 19,569 tonnes of export cargo and 2,059 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 66,272 tonnes comprised of 15,858 tonnes of containerised cargo and 4,027 tonnes of general cargo; 1,280 tonnes of rock phosphate and 45,107 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 19,569 tonnes comprised of 6,255 tonnes of containerised cargo; 444 tonnes of general cargo; 12,870 tonnes of bulk cargo: 366 tonnes of cement and 12,504 tonnes of wheat. Five ships namely Th Santana, Glory, Green Cove, Lodestar Genesis and Iron Monger-5 with oil tanker, containers, car carrier and two oil tankers respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Five vessels viz Green Cove, Bow Fuji, Ocean Success, CSL Ride and Stolt Courage carrying car carrier, oil tanker, general cargo containers and oil tanker respectively are currently at the berths. One ship namely Royal Diamond carrying wheat expected to sail on Wednesday, while another ship namely Stolt Courage with oil tanker is expected to sail on Thursday.
Five vessels viz Hanjin Rome, Bux Melody, President Adams, Saigon Express and Sea Tiger-1 carrying four container ships and sulphur respectively due to arrive on Wednesday, while two vessels viz Abadeh and Cardonia with crude oil and containers respectively are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 111,616 tonnes of cargo includes 78,875 tonnes of import cargo and 32,741 tonnes of export cargo and 2,995 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours. The total import cargo of 78,875 tonnes includes 25,916 tonnes of furnace oil; 16,624 tonnes of diesel oil; 391 tonnes of chemicals; 8,369 tonnes of urea; 13,820 tonnes of coal and 13,755 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 32,741 tonnes includes 661 tonnes of cement; 7,792 tonnes of wheat and 24,288 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Four ships namely CV Najran, CV Nedlloyed Barentsz, MV Christenia and MV Sea Baisen sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning. A total number of eleven vessels viz CV Najran, CV Nedlloyed Barentsz, MV Christenia, MV Sea Baisen, MV Free Envoy, MV Ina Lotte, MV Aquila Voyager, MV Alfa Nourios, MV Golden Ambrosia, MV Iolcos Vision and MT Mire-II are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, urea, coal, chemicals and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Four ships namely Four Bay, Sound Future, MSC Jade and ACX Margueritor carrying furnace oil, rice and containers respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of four vessels viz CV ACX Margueritor, CV MSC Jade, CV CMA CGM Wegnor and MT Marilena with three container ships and chemicals respectively are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Wednesday. Two container ships namely CV CSAV Apenne and CV OOCL Kobe are due to arrive on Thursday.
