Despite the orders issued by DCO Karachi Muhammad Hussain Saeed, the City District Government employees are still waiting for their salaries to be released, Business Recorder was told here on Tuesday. Under the DCO directives, the salaries of the employees (grade 1-16), were to be released by 5th March through a salary fund of the CDGK, but it has not happened yet.
When contacted the Planning and Finance Department, the authorities there informed that they have the required funds for the employees' salaries. However, they told that they have not yet received instructions regarding the distribution of salaries from the concerned departments, which has caused the delay. They said that the Finance Department would take strict action against those involved behind the delay. They informed that the salaries would be issued by the 10th of this month.
