Pakistan International Airlines Retired Employees Association (PIAREA) has demanded establishment of PIA Foundation so that the retired employees and their children and dependents could be provided respectful employment. Addressing monthly meeting of the association, Tahir Hussain, President, PIAREA also demanded increase in pension rates of retired and urged them to get united for the achievement of their demands.
Others who addressed the meeting included: Yunus Kakakhel, Hafiz Iqbal, Wing Commander Nadir Ali Shah, Zulfiquar Ali,and Shuja un Nabi, advocate. Aslam Aasi the patron of PIAREA said that in the pension which retired employees get, they cannot even pay one utility bill. Others who attended the gathering were: Director Engineering, Syed Saeed Akhtar (Retd), Chaudhry Bashir Ahmed, Junaid Soofi, Karim uddin, Yusuf Jamil Zaidi and Zafar Jami.
