JI submits call attention notice to Senate Secretariat

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) on Monday submitted to the Senate Secretariat a call attention notice against the educational board of Punjab for the hardships being faced by thousands of students due to the faulty online registration system in availing their roll number slips
The call attention notice has been submitted by JI senators including Professor Khurshid Ahmed, Professor Mohammad Ibrahim and Afia Zia on the basis of media reports published in many national dailies. In the call attention notice, the senators have expressed concerns over the situation saying that the Secondary School Certificate annual examinations have been started across the province but the students were facing serious hardships due to the faulty system of the board.
They said that a large number of students were still without their roll number slips. The senators further added that students belonging to far-flung areas were the most affected due to the faulty system and they could not get their roll number slips in due course of time. Demanding debate on the matter of urgent public importance in its upcoming session, the senators also urged the Provincial Government not to deprive any student from appearing in the examinations.
