National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has arrested four officials of Mansehra Development Authority (MDA) because of their involvement in illegal allotment of plots, extra areas, shops, model houses and accumulation of assets disproportionate to their sources of income.
The arrested officers were Asad Ali Shah, Ex. Director, Mazhar Hussein, Housing Officer, Mohammad Saeed Khan, Building Inspector and Sajjad Ahmad Jan, Assistant Director (AD) Finance of the authority. The chairman NAB issued the arrest warrants of the accused. Human Rights Cell of Supreme Court of Pakistan had also taken cognisance of the matter and directed NAB to speed up investigation.
At present four types of cases against officials of MDA are under investigation with NAB (KPK) for illegal allotment of plots, illegal allotment of extra areas to regular allotted, illegal allotment of shops and model houses and accumulation of assets disproportionate to their known sources of income.
