The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore (UVAS), in collaboration with the Department of Clinical Neuroscience, University of Cambridge, UK and HEC Islamabad is organising two day conversant seminar and workshop on "Environmental Toxicology and Health" on Tuesday.
The chief guest of the seminar will be the Punjab Agriculture Minister Malik Ahmad Ali Aulakh. The main objective is to discuss priorities and highlight the human health risk potential in order to uplift the relationship between "environmental exposure and health" in Pakistan and to promote multidisciplinary collaborations. Chairman department of pharmacology and toxicology Professor Dr Muhammad Ashraf explained that growing public awareness of the potential risk to humans from toxic chemicals in the environment has generated demand for new and improved methods for toxicity assessment and rational means for estimating health risk.
