Apex court moved to reopen case

A constitutional petition has been filed before the Supreme Court for reopening and adjudicating the matter of an Indian spy Sarbajit Singh, who is waiting execution at Kot Lakhpat Jail. Advocate Awais Sheikh had submitted that the real culprit of bomb blast in Pakistan Manjeet Singh, with whom the petitioner (Sarbajit) was substituted, was arrested in India in December 2010.
He said that Manjeet Singh was an international swindler and terrorist and was in Pakistan in 1990 when the incident took place. He claimed that his client (Sarbajit) was a victim of false identification.
