PQA Dock workers to stage rally

Dock workers of Port Qasim Authority (PQA) on Saturday announced to hold a protest demonstration for their legal rights in front of the main office of Fauji Akbar Portia Marine Terminals Karachi, shortly. Speaking at a press conference held at Karachi Press Club, members of PQA Dock Workers Action Committee, Obaidullah Yousufzai, Abdul Wahid and Jamdad Khan appealed to the civil society, rights organisations and news media to support their just cause.
They said despite being the permanent dockers, the PQA continued to ignore their legal rights and treated them as "slave labours." "It seems there is no law no regulations for the dock labourers' problems," they protested.
