No expansion in Cabinet: Prime Minister assigns additional portfolios to eight ministers
Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani did not expand the size of his cabinet and assigned additional charge of eight important ministries to others' on Saturday.
According to Cabinet, Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo has been given the additional charge of ministry of defence production, Makhdoom Shahabuddin ministry of housing and works, Hina Rabbani Khar Ministry of State for Finance and Economic Affairs, Mian Raza Rabbani Ministry of Human Rights, Syed Khursheed Shah Ministry of Labour and Manpower, Syed Naveed Qamar Ministry of Water and Power, Shaukatullah Ministry of Sports and Samina Khalid Ghurki was given the additional charge of ministry of women development.
In addition to this, Prime Minister approved the appointment of Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Fayyaz Ahmed Laghari as Inspector General of Police Sindh. When, IGP Sindh Sultan Salahuddin Babar Khattak relinquished the charge of his office on the orders of the government in February 2011, CCPO Karachi Fayyaz Ahmad Leghari has been performing duties as IGP/PPO Sindh. However, Prime Minister appointed him as IGP Sindh and additional charge of CCPO Karachi has been given to him till the new appointment.
