While iPhone X is still maintaining its image in the markets, a report has revealed that Galaxy S8 has managed to overthrow it.

Consumer Reports reported that Apple’s iPhone X has been listed below its rival Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and even its own iPhone 8 and iPhone 8+. Few months ago, it presented another report that listed Galaxy S7 above than iPhone 8.

In its report, Consumer Reports justified about why Samsung is ranked better than Apple in its smartphone rankings, majorly because of iPhone X’s low battery life, the ability to break easily, and the higher price rates.

Consumer Reports highly recommended a protective case for the iPhone X to consumers in order to protect from the damage that a drop can induce, wrote Apple Insider.

Samsung Galaxy X to beat iPhone X

The iPhone X had a 19.5-hour battery life as compared to Galaxy S8’s 26-hour life, and 21-hours of S8+. Also, Apple’s phone has 2,716mAh battery whereas, Samsung’s Galaxy S8 came in with 3,000mAh battery, and 3,500mAh battery for S8+.

“Taken as a complete package, this phone ranked a bit lower than Samsung’s S+, S8+, and Note 8, mainly because of their superior battery life. But many longtime iPhone users aren’t interested in switching to Android, so the real question for them is whether to save a few bucks – or, actually, a couple hundred – and go with an iPhone 8 or 8+ instead,” wrote Consumer Reports.

However, some of the phone’s features were also appraised such as iPhone X’s appealing display, the extraordinary cameras, and the Face ID feature. Yet, these features failed to outdo Galaxy S8’s iris scanner and OLED display.

The first two positions in the ranking report were won by Samsung, with Galaxy S8, and S8+ respectively. Galaxy Note 8 came in sixth, whereas, iPhone X was ranked at the ninth spot. iPhone 8+ took the third position followed by iPhone 8 in the fourth spot.

According to CNBC, Consumer Reports suggested that iPhone 8 and 8+ were ‘more resistant to breaking’ in its tests when compared to iPhone X, and also consumers will appreciate the ‘familiar Home button’.
