Four SHC's Additional Judges' tenure extended

On the recommendations of the Parliamentary Committee for the appointment of Judges and on the advice of the Prime Minister President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday approved grant of one year extension in the tenure of the four Additional Judges of the Sindh High Court.
Spokesperson Farhatullah Babar said that the Additional Judges of the SHC whose tenure has been extended by one year on the recommendation of the Parliamentary Committee are Justice Imam Bakhsh Baloch, Justice Nisar Muhammad Shaikh, Justice Syed Hassan Azhar Rizvi and Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar.
The one year extension in respect of each Additional Judge will be deemed to be effective from the date on which his current tenure as Additional Judge expires, he said. In a related development the President, acting on the advice of the Prime Minister, also accepted the request of Justice Zahid Hussain of the Supreme Court for early retirement.-PR
