Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haidar Khan Hoti has approved special grant of Rs 20 million for provision of financial assistance and purchase of wheel chairs, tricycles and hearing device for disabled people of the province.
The chief minister has said that the elected government is committed for rehabilitation, assistance and enabling disabled people to lead useful life. The chief minister stressed provincial social welfare department to considered physically handicapped people as part of the society and they deserve proper attention adding their assistance and rehabilitation is the responsibility of the government and society.
He said transparent distribution of assistance and other equipment must be ensured. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haidar Khan Hoti has issued directives for provision of staff to Government High School Hayagai Dog Dara Upper Dir and up-gradation of Government Primary School Kelat and Government Primary School Shatbala Upper Dir to middle level and establishment of community health centres in two villages of Dog Dara district Upper Dir.
The chief minister directed concerned departments for ensuring implementation of his directives regarding these people welfare projects. The provision of staff to high school, up-gradation of other mentioned schools and establishment of community health centres will not only benefit children of Dog Dara Upper Dir with availability of education facilities at their doorstep but will also ensure availability of treatment facilities to people of the area.
