Provincial Education Minister, Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman has said Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif is making full efforts to bring educational revolution in the province. The minister hoped that hundred percent literacy rate would be achieved in Punjab by 2013.
He was addressing the position holder students of annual examination 2010 held under Punjab Board of Technical Education in the auditorium of PCSIR laboratories here on Wednesday. He said that the chief minister himself wanted to participate in this function as holding of such functions at government level and participation of chief minister of Punjab for encouragement of students is a matter of pleasure for him but due to his very important engagements, he had to represent the chief minister. He also congratulated the students on behalf of the chief minister of Punjab.
The minister said that elimination of poverty is possible through promotion of education particularly technical and professional education, which can bring prosperity in society. He said that the Punjab government is also considering a plan to establish university of technical education and this plan would be given final shape if resources would be availabile.
