'World peace to be impacted if Pakistan not helped in defeating militants'
President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday said the regional and world peace would be gravely impacted if Pakistan was not helped to defeat the militants. Addressing the members of Japan-Pakistan Friendship League at a luncheon meeting hosted by the President of the League Seishiro Etoh who is also the vice speaker of the Japanese Lower House.
The President gave a comprehensive review of how Pakistan was in the frontline of war against militancy which was also the war of the international community and how this war could be won. The President said that the militants were created through a deliberate policy by the international community with the help of Pakistan as an instrument of war against the rival ideology. After the rival ideology was defeated the international community abandoned Pakistan and the region to its fate leaving behind an untamed war monster which had now come back to haunt Pakistan and the region and the world.
