Federal Minister for Interior Rehman Malik on Monday said Raymond Davis possessed a diplomatic passport, but his case would be decided by the court. Talking to reporters outside the Parliament House, he said Pakistan is signatory to certain international protocols, which cannot be violated, however the court would decide the issue.
To a question the Minister said the government understands the public sentiments and nothing against the law would be done. He said each and every information related to Raymond Davis would be produced before the court and requested "everybody to stop politics on this sensitive issue for the sake of country." Replying to another question he said Raymond Davis' passport is under the custody of Punjab Government and nothing would be changed by anybody. He said the Prime Minister in his speech in the National Assembly has clarified regarding the Raymond Davis issue.
