Various commodities' prices fluctuated both ways in line with global trends

Modest trading was marked during the week when wheat, rapeseeds and cakes and dry fruits showed rising trend the rest of the items rose or went down in line with the world trend.
On Monday modest trading was seen on the commodity wholesale markets, as rising trend was marked such as wheat old with bardana rose by Rs 5 to Rs 2050, while new type rose by same amount to Rs2665. Irri 6 Sindh low type rose by Rs 25 to Rs3200, while better type rose by Rs50 to Rs3275. On the seedside rapseeds Nawabshah rose by Rs 100 to Rs2500, rapeseed cakes low type was higher by Rs10 to Rs900, while better type rose by Rs25 to Rs900. Cotton seed cakes with bag in Sindh low type was down by Rs20 to Rs1220, while the other type lost Rs10 to Rs1270.
On Jodia Bazaar jute goods twing (per kg) 20x3 brown was quoted at Rs100, 8x3 scaled down by Rs10 to Rs 150, hessian cloth (per 91.44 meter) 45x10 Amin shed Rs100 to Rs5200, 45x 11 down by Rs100 to Rs3550, 50x9 Thul scaled down by Rs100 to Rs3100, 45x9 down by Rs 100 to Rs3100, 50x8 Thul shed Rs100 to Rs2850 and 45x8 shed Rs100 to Rs2850.
On Tuesday rates mostly turn lower ahead of Eid-e-Miladun-Nabi (PBUH) holiday, such as khandsari was sharply down by Rs500 to Rs7000. Yellow peas dal Canada shed Rs100 to Rs4100 and Rs4300, yellow peas dal Ukraine ended down by Rs100 to Rs4000 and Rs4200. Bajra low type lost Rs25 to Rs2475, while the other type was put at Rs2900. Cotton cakes with bag in Sindh low quality shed Rs5 to Rs1225, while the other type shed Rs5 to Rs1265.
On Thursday Irri 6 Sindh low type rose by Rs50 to Rs3250, while the other variety gained Rs25 to Rs3300. Guwar was down by Rs250 to Rs3900 and 4000, guwar Punjab shed same amount to Rs3850 and Rs3950. Cotton cakes with bag in Sindh low type retained last level at Rs1225, while better type rose by Rs 5 to Rs1270. On Jodia Bazaar kirana items (per 40-kg) Nutineg rose by Rs2000 to Rs28,000, big cardamom lost Rs4000 to Rs88,000, cloves shed Rs1000 to Rs22,000, copra India rose by Rs100 to Rs6900, sago rose by same amount to Rs3200, cuminseed rose by Rs800 to Rs10,800, darchini rose by Rs200 to Rs6900 and haldi was quoted at Rs7200.
On Friday not a single change was seen on the wholesale grain and seed market on Friday, as most of the market players were busy in preparations for Juma prayers.
On Saturday small business was seen as a result of balanced demand and supply position. On the cereal side barley Sindh and Mardan was quoted higher at Rs 2700, wheat old bardan gained Rs 10 to Rs 2660 and new type also picked up the same amount at Rs 2675, other items maintained overnight levels. Rapeseeds cakes registered lower at Rs 800 due to less demand and cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh low type rose by Rs 35 to Rs 1260 and best type appreciated by Rs 40 to Rs 1310. Rice and grams retained the overnight level in process of slow trading.
On Jodia Bazaar Ceylon raw rubber closed higher. The changes were: CEYLON RAW RUBBER (Per lb): Merryrub (Equivalent to RSS3) went up by Rs 5 to Rs 190, RSSV was quoted at Rs 185 and Pale Crape TPC3 finished higher by Rs 5 to Rs 235. LATEX: Merrytax (28-kg) was quoted at Rs 1,170 and Thai (GT) was also quoted at Rs 1,170.
