Secretary General, Society of Surgeons Pakistan, Dr Afsar Ali Bhatti has said that 'International Surgical Conference 2011' would help update knowledge of young doctors and enhance their abilities to treat the patients properly. Talking to media persons, Dr Afsar Ali Bhatti said that the five-day conference would start on March 9 at Allama Iqbal Medical College and Jinnah Hospital.
He said that the event would be attended by prominent doctors from around the country. He added that a pre-conference workshop would be held from March 9 to run until 11th. Dr Afsar said that an official inaugural ceremony would also be organised on the 12th of March, wherein doctors would deliver lectures present research papers.
Meanwhile, an indo and laparoscopy workshop would be organised on March 9 in General and Services Hospital for young doctors. Also, at Allama Iqbal Medical College and Jinnah Hospital, live advance laparoscopy operations for treating obesity patients and bell diseases would be shown on 10th and 11th of March.
