JI supports restoration of Bahawalpur province

Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab has demanded restoration of Bahawalpur province immediately as more administrative units are essential for good governance. JI Punjab Amir Dr Syed Waseem Akhtar said here on Sunday that JI would hold a grand rally on February 23 in Bahawalpur, which would be addressed by the leaders of other political parties.
Talking to party men, Akhtar said this movement would continue till restoration of the Bahawalpur province and realisation of political and constitutional rights of the residents. He alleged that Punjab government was selling off costly land of Bahawalpur to finance its own luxurious spending. For the solution of problems of the masses at the earliest, there should be new administrative units in the country.
