Directorate of Training and Research (Inland Revenue) Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) arranged a reception here the other day to bid farewell to its first Director General Abdul Wadood Khan. Wadood Khan headed the Directorate of Training and Research for over a year and retired on February 02, 2011. He was replaced by another senior FBR officer Shahid Nasim.
Farewell reception of Wadood Khan was attended by the new Director General Shahid Nasim, Ansar Javed Chief Commissioner, Regional Tax Office-I Lahore, Mustafa Ashraf Chief Commissioner Regional Tax Office-II, Lahore, faculty members and probationary officers of 37th Specialised Training Programme.
Speaking on this occasion Abdul Wadood Khan said that he found his stay at DOT as immensely pleasant. He said that he got a chance to be a part of one of the prime training institution of Asia. Being Director General at DOT for over a year has been a wonderful experience, he added.
Advising the tax services trainees, Wadood urged them to concentrate on, try to learn as much as possible because this is the golden opportunity that they should not miss. Speaking on this occasion, new Director General Shahid Nasim wished good luck to the outgoing D.G. He said Wadood Khan is highly respected and appreciated for rendering valuable services to the Department.
