Copper ended down for a second straight day on Wednesday, sinking further away from this week's record high, as concerns about rising inflation and restrained growth prospects in emerging world economies began to bite. COMEX copper for March delivery fell 6.60 cents to settle at $4.47 per lb, breaking through a key line of technical support on the way down. The losses dragged the COMEX benchmark contract down about 4 percent from its record high at $4.6495.
