ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Marriyum Aurangzeb has expressed deep sense of sorrow over the sad demise of renowned Indian film star Shashi Kapoor and offered heart-felt condolences to the bereaved family.
In a statement issued here Monday, she said in the death of Shashi Kapoor the sub-continent had lost a great artist who won the hearts of film viewers through his versatile and solitary performances.
He played memorable roles during his film career and dominated the film world due to his artistic skills ever since his childhood, she added.
Marriyum observed that Shashi Kapoor had also played a memorable role in the film on the life of the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. She said his fans felt deeply grieved over his demise.
