The Federal Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs addressed the members of Punjab Bar Council (PBC) at Punjab Bar Council, Lahore on Sunday. Dr Babar Awan gave Rs156 million cheques to President Punjab Bar Council.
The Federal Minister said he owed this to the bars of Pakistan and he would keep serving the lawyers of Pakistan. He urged the provincial government to provide for the shelter and medical facilities to the lawyers community on priority basis. The Federal Minister promised Rs200 million for the construction of a hospital exclusively for the lawyers while presenting cheques. He said that the PPP government would serve their own people rather than surrendering before the enemy. A number of senior lawyers were present on the occasion.
