The Customs Drug Enforcement staff intercepted an Afghan passenger at Jinnah International Terminal here on Sunday morning for alleged charges of possession of drugs. An official of Pakistan Customs told APP here on Sunday that the Afghan national identified as Abdul Razzak was intercepted by the officials of the Customs when he was boarding an Emirates Airline flight EK-602.
"The accused was holding a travel document issued from Germany and was leaving by EK 602 for Frankfurt via Dubai," said the official. He said the search of the accused and his baggage led to the recovery of 1.5 kg of Hashish concealed in two pairs of his sandals. Further investigation is underway, he added.
