Two dead in northern Virginia shootings

Police say two people are dead and four wounded in two related shootings in northern Virginia. Manassas city police spokesman Sgt. Tim Neumann says one person died and three others were shot at 7:30 pm. Thursday in the Georgetown South neighbourhood.
Neumann says one person was killed and one wounded in a second shooting later in that neighbourhood and a woman was injured with a knife or machete. He says both shootings have the same suspect who is being questioned. Neumann says police do not believe the shootings are random and that the person being questioned is familiar with both families involved. He says the person was picked up during a traffic stop.
