The 2nd All Pakistan Fauji Cement Bridge Championship endorsed by Munir Associates, Apex and Biz Nest will commence at the famed bridge tables of Lahore Gymkhana from Friday (today). The event will last till February 13. It will be a battle of wits and concentration, as the icons of Pakistan's bridge scene will apply their skills and expertise and mental capacity to outdo each other searching for national honours.
The show is expected to be a big one and Brigadier Zubair Tahir (Retd) the live wire of Fauji Cement who is also a keen bridge player himself hopes and expects that some mind boggling moves will adorn the various contests that are going to take place. Participating teams are many with six from Karachi, 10 from Rawalpindi/Islamabad and Lahore will be fielding with six teams. The sponsors will also be represented by two teams.
Ihsan Qadir stated that arrangements to hold this grand event are in place and the participants will enjoy competing under ideal conditions. Sarfraz Butt will act as the Assistant Director. Opening ceremony will be performed by Brigadier Zubair Tahir (Retd).
