At least two dacoits were beaten to death while one critically injured by angry mob in the area of Pirabad police station. According to police, some three robbers out of six received bullets wounds by the shopkeeper Muhammad Riaz Anwar when they tried to escape after looting his shop.
They said these bandits were brutally beaten by the inhabitants of the area before handing over to the police, which resulting the death of two robbers while one namely Haroon sustained critical injuries and rushed to the hospital for treatment. They said the shopkeeper Anwar also received bullet wounds on retaliation and added that other accomplices managed to flee from the scene.
They said that one of deceased robbers was identified as Imran Hussain while the identification of other was yet to be ascertained and added that both bodies were shifted to the morgue after legal formalities. In another incident one more robber was shot dead in a police encounter in the limits of Sir Syed Police station.
According to police, two robbers tried to escape by resorting fire in a car (AHK-574) when they were intercepted at Sector 9, North Karachi. On retaliation, one bandit, who was later identified as Kamran Iqbal sustained fatal bullet wounds and succumbed to his injuries in hospital while other managed to flee. Police shifted his body to the morgue and registered the case.
