Shahid Iqbal assumes as PN Chief of Staff

Consequent upon retirement of Vice Admiral Asaf Humayun, Vice Admiral Shahid Iqbal has assumed the duties of Chief of Staff at the Naval Headquarters Islamabad, a press of DPR Navy said here Tuesday. Vice Admiral Shahid Iqbal was commissioned in 1974 and joined the Operations Branch of Pakistan Navy.
He has rich experience of various command and staff appointments including commands of Destroyer, Commander Pakistan Fleet, Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Operations) and Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Training & Personnel). He has also served as faculty member at PN Staff College and Armed Forces War College (NDU).
