Sindh CM discusses security arrangements for Muharram

qaim_400KARACHI: All preventive and precautionary measures be adopted to strictly maintain the law and order in the province of Sindh during the month of Muharram-ul-Harram.

This was directed by Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah while presiding over a meeting regarding law and order situation, held at CM House, said a statement issued on Tuesday.

The meeting was attended among others by Sindh Home Minister, Manzoor Hussain Wasan, Chief Secretary Sindh Raja Muhammad Abbas, Inspector General of Police Sindh Syed Mushtaq Shah, Sindh Law Secretary Syed Ghulam Nabi Shah, Advocate General Sindh, Fatah Malik and Principal Secretary to Sindh CM Alamuddin Bullo.

He said that ample security arrangements be made for Imambargahs, processions of Muharram and other veneues of Majalis. The CM Sindh further directed that there should be strict vigilance on activities of criminals, anti-state elements and terrorists, and prompt patrolling of law enforcing agencies be ensured.

Syed Qaim Ali Shah also directed that religions harmony, brotherhood, tranquility and peace among all sections of the society must be maintained during the month of Muharram and there should be no controversial speech allowed so as to avoid any hatred.

Sindh Home Minister, Manzoor Hussain Wasan and IG Police Sindh, Syed Mushtaq Shah informed the meeting that prompt measures and fool proof arrangements have been evolved for the security during the month of Muharam-ul-Harram.
