Members of Parliament and Provincial Assembly belonging to Punjab met President Asif Ali Zardari as part of the consultative dialogue of party legislature at Aiwan-e-Sadr here on Saturday evening. The President apprised them about current regional and political situation and invited their suggestions.
He also assured the delegation that the government will look into the problems and will try to address them. Some of the members of delegation also spoke on this occasion and informed the President about the problems being faced by the people of their areas and also suggested remedial measures. The president said that such consultative meetings will continue in future.
Dr Faryal Talpur, MNA, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari and Aseefa Bhutto Zardari were also present in the meeting. Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani and a number of federal ministers including Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar, Federal Minister for Defence, Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr Zaheeruddin Babar Awan, Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Federal Minister for Water and Power, Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Northern Areas and Farzana Raja, Chairperson Benazir Income Support Program also attended the meeting.-PR
