Sharjeel Memon regrets causing embarrassment, tenders resignation

ISLAMABAD: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon on Friday tendered his resignation from the Provincial cabinet to President Asif Ali Zardari.

He tendered his resignation after he was asked by President Zardari to explain his presence in London.

According to spokesman to the President Farhatullah Babar, Sharjeel telephoned president Zardari late Friday night and lamented his decision for accompanying Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza to London, and expressed grief over the embarrassment he had caused to the party.

The resignation is yet to be accepted by the chief Minister of Sindh.
