nisaraBEIJING: Speaker Sindh Assembly, Nisar Ahmad Khuhro said here on Tuesday that frequent exchange of delegations between Pakistan and China would help further consolidate our bilateral ties and strengthen the all-weather friendship.

Speaking to media on arrival here on an official visit to China, he said that since 2008, when the present government came into power, highest priority has been given to deepen our friendship with China.

"The foundation of this friendship was laid by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed further consolidated these ties," he said adding that President Asif Ali Zardari has also been visiting China every three months.

He pointed out that the basic purpose of visiting China is to learn from the Chinese experience in all sectors particularly agriculture, science and technology, water conservancy as well as hydro, wind and solar energy.

He said that Sindh province is blessed with huge potential of wind and solar energy, which can help us overcome energy shortage in the country.

On arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport, Ambassador Masood Khan, senior officials of Pakistan Embassy and China Peoples Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), the host of the visit warmly greeted Mr. Khuhro and members of his entourage.

Speaker Sindh Assembly is leading a delegation of Sindh Bureau of Investment and prominent businessmen on a four-day official visit to China.

The businessmen accompanying the delegation would hold business-to-business meetings with private Chinese entrepreneurs to explore possibilities of further cooperation.

Three cooperative agreements would be signed this evening (Tuesday) on Wind Energy, Wind Turbine Manufacturing and Coal Mining in Sonda (Sindh).

The delegation is scheduled to also visit Wuhan, capital of Hubei province, which has sister province relations with the Sindh province of Pakistan.
