LAHORE: Pakistan would play two T20 matches and a bilateral cricket series with Afgahnistan, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Shahryar Khan announced on Saturday.

"Pakistan and Afghanistan will play two T20 matches and a bilateral cricket series," Khan said, while addressing the media.

The decision comes during a visit by the Chairman Afghan Cricket Board (ACB) Atif Mashal along with members of ACB to Lahore.

As per media reports, the first T20I will be played in Afghanistan, while the second one will take place in Pakistan.

The ACB chairman expressed gratitude for inviting the Afghan cricket board for talks, and was of the view that sports should not mingled with politics.

“Pakistan will come to Afghanistan with a message of peace, friendship and brotherhood. And then our team will go to Pakistan for the same purpose,” said Mashal.
