TEHRAN : At least 15 people have been killed in a huge explosion at a military base in the federal capital of Iran .

TEHRAN: At least 15 people have been killed in a huge explosion at a military base in the federal capital of Iran.
According to officials, the blast occurred when troops were moving weapons inside a Revolutionary Guards depot.
The blast shattered windows in nearby buildings and was heard 40 km (25 miles) away in Tehran.
Rescue efforts have begun with a helicopter and ambulances reportedly being sent to the scene.
The cause of the explosion could not be ascertained at the time of this report.
The blast occurred in the village of Bidganeh, near the city of Karaj.
