assosaLISBON: Portugal is worried by growing systemic risk in Europe and the country needs to work to regain confidence and meet the targets of an EU-IMF bailout to leave its debt crisis behind, Prime Minister Pedro Passos Coelho said on Thursday.

He said earlier the country will meet its targets and will not seek to change the key gaols of the 78-billion-euro bailout programme despite an adverse situation in Europe for the country's economy.

"The systemic risk is showing itself more and more dangerous with every month What happens in Europe is worrying," Passos Coelho said.

"Any relaxing of our public finances, being less robust, less credible will be another stone weighing on an already very fragile situation," he said.
