'Strong economy must to eliminate poverty'

Chairman 'The Founders' Dr Khalid Javed Chaudhry has said that the country's economy is standing on strong footing, which is good omen for the elimination of unemployment and poverty. Increase in foreign exchange reserves is a proof of better performance of the present government, he said while addressing a meeting of traders and businessmen in his office here, on Sunday.
He said that the government should set up more industrial estates in the country so as to give further boost to country's economy. Speaking about the coming elections of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he said that currently a repressive group, which, he alleged, had prepared bogus lists of voters to serve their vested interests, was running the chamber.
