Federal Minister for Political Affairs and provincial chief of PML Amir Muqam has reiterated the government resolve to electricity and provide Sui gas facility to every nook and corner of the country. This he said while talking to various delegations that called on him at his residence on Tuesday.
He said that provision of facilities like electricity and Sui gas was the corner stone of President Musharraf's agenda. "We do not believe in hollow slogans but want to resolve peoples' problems immediately and well in time", he declared.
He said that PML would not allow anyone to take political mileage out of non-issues. He said that the PML has become a big political force in the country by virtue of its performance and added that it (PML) would once again emerge triumphant with heavy mandate by the masses in the coming general elections.
Referring to the accomplishment of development projects in the province, Amir Muqam said that in spite of opposition government in NWFP, the federal government has launched and completed record development projects that showed the interest of President General Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz in the speedy development of the province.
Both the President and Prime Minister had issued millions of rupees for the early completion of ongoing development projects in the NWFP. He told these delegations that the opposition had lost confidence of the masses and the entire nation wanted continuation of the sagacious policies initiated by the President.
He said that the federal government with the assistance of Pak Army was striving hard for the early rehabilitation of the flood-affected people of the province on war footings.
President PML Peshawar district Dilawar Khan, Alamgir Khan Afridi of union council Mashukhel, Hasham Khan and Dr Afsar Khan Afridi from FR Peshawar led these delegations. They were told that new transformers would be installed in Mashukhel and in the Mattani grid station to solve the low voltage problem of these areas.
