The rulers have reached the worst level of dictatorship under the garb of enlightened moderation by attacking the students of Lal Masjid in Islamabad. President of Jama'at-e-Islami, Karachi, Dr Meraj-ul Huda Siddiqui, said this while addressing protestor of Jamiat Tulba Arabia (JTA) outside the Karachi Press Club, said a press release issued here on Tuesday.
He said the Musharraf regime had lost its right to rule the country after launching operation against the Lal Masjid, adding the issue should be resolved through negotiations.
Condemning the operation, he accused the government of being non-serious in the resolution of Lal Masjid issue, and said the Musharraf regime had an anti-Islam agenda. Dr Siddiqui condemned the firing by Pakistan Rangers and the killing of some mediapersons busy in covering the incident.-PR
