Inspector General (IG) Sindh Police, Zia-ul-Hassan has taken serious notice of the complaints against the police officials involved in the land grabbing scams, saying stern action would be taken against those who found guilty.
He said that all those police personnel had any kind of relations with land mafia or land grabbers would be punished according to laws. He also directed the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Karachi, RPOs Hyderabad and Sukkur to constitute teams of special branch police and submit their secret reports about the police personnel involvement in land and plot grabbing scams to find out such heinous elements in the police department.
Zia reaffirmed that police's primary and the utmost responsibility was to ensure the law and order situation, besides security provision to the public. He vowed to build up police good image amongst the masses through better services.
