Microsoft Corporation announced today the appointment of Ali Faramawy as Vice President, Microsoft International, with executive responsibilities across business strategy development and business operations for Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.
Microsoft International is responsible for all sales, marketing and services for the regions outside of North America. Faramawy will report directly to Jean-Philippe Courtois, President Microsoft International and Senior Vice President Microsoft Corporation.
Microsoft also announced a new organisational structure for the region that covers North Africa, Eastern Mediterranean and Pakistan. Under the new structure, seven countries Algeria, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Pakistan and Tunisia will now report to one subsidiary office team led by Sherif Seddik as Regional Director.
