Dutch telecoms group KPN is launching a navigation service for mobile phones that will compete with dedicated devices such as those made by TomTom. KPN said in a statement on June 26 that the service will offer navigation, live traffic information and location of speed cameras and will cost 7.50 euros ($10) per month including data traffic.
It is available for mobile phones with a global positioning (GPS) chip, either built in or as a separate unit.
