Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has expressed concern over spread of waterborne diseases including gastro-enteritis in rain hit rural areas of Karachi - Deh Mongal, Deh Gujro, Manghopir and Hawksbay and held government, especially the CDGK, responsible for it.
In a statement here on Friday, PPP Sindh president Syed Qaim Ali Shah alleged that the government did not take any measures to provide rain-hit people of these areas with relief as they were living under open sky.
He said the situation was getting from bad to worst due to spread of gastro-enteritis and other waterborne diseases, while the government had not yet taken steps in this regard. He said the government hospitals lacked life saving medicines.
Qaim paid rich tributes to PPP UCs Nazims and representatives for helping needy people during this time of need. He demanded government to take steps against the diseases besides providing the people with better healthcare facilities.
